MELON AND PINYA GULAMAN
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 2 minutes
Serves: 5 medium size glasses
2 ½ cups diced fresh pineapple
2 ½ cups diced ripe cantaloupe
1½ cup simple syrup (recipe below)
Juice of ½ lime
5 cups of ice cubes
1 can black gulaman, diced
Combine all ingredients in a heavy duty blender except gulaman and press “crush” until mixture is smooth. Add the diced gulaman and additional ice cubes if desired. Serve right away.
Simple syrup
Yields: 1 ½ cups
1 cup water
1 cup granulated sugar
Combine water and sugar in a small sauce pot and bring to boil @ 2 minutes. Remove from stove. Cool down completely before mixing with the fruits.
