SMOKED SALMON AND CARAMELIZED ONIONS FLAT BREAD PIZZA
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 6 to 7 minutes
Yields: 5 flat bread pizzas
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 large red onion, peeled, halved and cut into half rings
½ teaspoon sugar
1 package (5 pieces) flat bread – about 8 to 10 inches in diameter
1 cup gruyere cheese
1 package (4 oz) smoke salmon, chopped
Juice of 1 lemon
Salt and pepper
In a small sauté pan, heat oil for a minute.
Add onions and sugar and cook for about 8 to 10 minutes until brown and soft.
Lay flat bread in a flat surface and evenly distribute onions, and cheese.
Transfer flatbread in a baking pan and bake in a 400 F for about 6 to 7 minutes.
Remove from the oven and evenly divide salmon.
Drizzle lemon juice, and season with salt and pepper.
Cut into 4 to 6 wedges.
Serve right away.
